SSBV is a technology driven organisation, active in the domains of: (aero)Space, Remote Sensing & Monitoring, Defense & Security and the development of High-Tech Systems.
Based on in-house technology, engineering skills and long-lasting partnerships, SSBV is able to provide System, subsystem and unit/product level solutions for Ground and Space based applications and services.
Since its establishment as Satellite Services B.V. in 1985, SSBV has evolved into a group of companies operating world-wide. The SSBV headquarters and a number of other operating companies are located in the SSBV building in the Space Business Park in Noordwijk aan Zee, The Netherlands, whereas the largest foreign subsidiary company (SSBV Space & Ground Systems UK) is located in Portsmouth, United Kingdom.
Within SSBV and partnership companies, a wide range of activities are supported. These range from the provision of ground based systems for simulation, test and communication to the provision of smallsat subsystems, sensors and involvement in small satellite platforms. Through internally available systems, infrastructure and experience, a range of ground-based and airborne services are provided.

SSBV Aerospace & Technology Group
The Group company provides overall co-ordination, business development, marketing & sales, as well as legal and financial support to the SSBV and partnership companies.
SSBV Space & Ground Systems NL
Formerly known as Satellite Services BV, the company provides a range of ground-based systems in the domains of Simulation & Testing (EGSE), TTC & TM/TC Systems, high-rate modem and data processing systems , as well as turn-key system solutions. Space activities include the design and development of on-board processing and communication subsystems.
Together with its UK counterpart and other partners, it is also involved in the development of a mini-SAR radar and "purpose-built smallsats".
SSBV Space & Ground Systems UK
This company combines the activities of Satellite Services Ltd and SSBV RF Test & Engineering Ltd. As part of its space activities it offers a wide range of reliable smallsat sensors and subsystems to the international smallsat community. The ground based products and services include bespoke simulation and test systems for space and non-space applications with a specialisation in the RF domain.
SSBV Remote Sensing & Monitoring
This company focuses on the provision of remote sensing and monitoring services. These are based on the use of ground-, air- and space-borne sensors, data systems and infrastructure available from the SSBV Group and strategic partners. The company operates the SSBV Ground Station Network (GSN) that comprises a number of Earth Stations across the globe that are equipped with the latest SSBV systems for satellite data reception and processing.
In co-operation with Metasensing B.V. the company operates a Cessna 182T airplane for airborne SAR based mapping and observation services.
SSBV Defense & Security
This company focuses on the provision of subsystems and services related to Defense and Security. For this purpose it utilises products, technology and experience available from within the other SSBV Group companies. This includes field-proven SIGINT products related to RF monitoring, recording and analysis, satellite communication and remote sensing & monitoring services.
SSBV partnership companies
Besides its "own" companies, the SSBV Aerospace & Technology Group has a considerable share holding in a number of other technology driven SMEs. The know-how, products and technologies from these partnership companies are available to the SSBV companies, whereas in return, the SSBV Group actively supports these companies by providing operational, business development and marketing & sales support, as well as access to capabilities and facilities of SSBV and its industrial partners.
